Liski shelter receives a gift of a new playground and equipment

April 3, 2015

Voronezh, April 3 — AiF-Black Earth.

The official opening of the upgraded shelter for children and adolescents took place today in Liski, Voronezh Region.

A nice building at the shelter now has new furniture, an electric water heater, sports equipment, laptops, and office machines. And in the back yard is a real delight for the children — a brand new, bright playground with playhouses, sandboxes, and merry-go-rounds.

All of these gifts were bought with money raised during the “Help the Children” charity campaign. For 35 days last fall, Cherkizovo Group donated one rouble from each package of product sold to the United Way Charitable Foundation. This money went to children’s homes in seven regions where the company’s poultry factories are located — Moscow, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk, Lipetsk, Penza, and Tula Regions.

Representatives of the Liski District administration and Lisko Broiler, the largest poultry meat manufacturer in Voronezh Region, symbolically cut the red ribbon. The children living in the shelter prepared a moving concert program in gratitude for the gifts.
