In early July, the Cherkizovo Group’s grain facilities began harvesting yields in the Voronezh and Orlov Regions, according to a press release by the group. As of July 22, it had already threshed more than 27,000 tons of grain.

During this agricultural year, Cherkizovo Group increased its sowing area to 40,000 hectares. Like last year, the main crops sown were wheat, barley, soy, corn, sunflower, peas, and rapeseed.

“In 2012, despite problematic weather conditions, the company showed good results, harvesting 115,000 tons of grain. This year, the company is counting on harvesting more than 150,000 tons under favourable weather conditions,” the press release stated.
