Cherkizovo Marks New Year with Charity Programme

December 28, 2011

On the threshold of the New Year holidays Cherkizovo Group took part in a series of charity programmes supporting several Russian charities.

December 15, 2011 Cherkizovo gave its support to the charity fund «United Way Russia» last month by hosting an Annual Christmas Bazaar, which was attended by 23 charity organizations.

The Bazaar allowed shoppers to buy presents for relatives, friends and colleagues — and all the merchandise was hand-made by foster children of the charities. Guests were offered coffee, tea, sandwiches with Cherkizovo sausages and baked goods. The Bazaar raised 245 084 rubles for various charitable organizations.

December 22, 2011 Cherkizovo Group, together with the «United Way Russian» charity fund, organized the distribution of a selection of Cherkizovo sausages to elderly people in need. This donation was in aid of the Chamah Charity fund, Veteran Council and indigent elderly people.

«I am very grateful to Cherkizovo for the food parcels it donated. All the beneficiaries were very happy to receive the tasty sausages, at a time when it is difficult for many people to buy good quality meat», said Tatiana Zadirako, Director of «United Way Russia.»

December 28, 2011 Similarly, Cherkizovo donated food to the Diema’s Dream Charity fund — Kimovsk orphanage. The charity, located in the Tula region and Gorodok, was created to support young, disabled children.
