Moscow, Russia – April 6 – The Research & Development Lab of Cherkizovo Group, Russia’s largest meat producer, has reported the results of its work in 2021: 372 thousand tests conducted, which include highly sophisticated studies in a range of agricultural areas.
“The lab delivers testing against more than 500 criteria, including 27 unique lab tests for the private sector, with COVID — 19 being one of them,” said Sergey Shapovalov, PhD in Biology and Director of Cherkizovo’s Research & Development Lab. In April 2021, the center became the first private laboratory to receive accreditation to test environmental samples for COVID — 19, which marked another step in assuring safety of Cherkizovo Group products for its partners.

Launched back in 2016, the project received EUR 10 million worth of investment. The Lab’s total area is 2,000 sq m. It takes active part in multiple educational and social projects.
