Moscow, Russia – 7 April – The Governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobyov has rewarded Cherkizovo Group’s CEO Sergey Mikhailov the Sign of St Sergius of Radonezh award. The honour is in recognition of the tireless work the Company provided to help the region’s residents throughout the pandemic.
The Governor of the Moscow Region, Andrey Vorobyov has signed a decree awarding Sergey Mikhailov with the Sign of St Sergius of Radonezh award. The award was introduced in 2014 and is given to those who show particularly commendable public and charitable service to the Moscow Region.
The honour is in recognition of the infallible charitable work that Cherkizovo Group did throughout the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. For example, the Company provided food aid to healthcare workers and underprivileged residents in the Moscow Region. It delivered food parcels containing sausage products to doctors in hospitals across the region. Furthermore, the Company supported local mothers of large families.

Last year, given the prevailing situation, fighting the pandemic proved to be the defining feature of our charity work.
