Moscow, Russia – July 8 – Cherkizovo Group participated in an major case competition event held by the MGIMO School of Business and International Proficiency. Contestants in the MGIMO MBA Digital Case Challenge 2020 competed to solve vital business development cases.
In particular, Cherkizovo Group proposed a case whereby participants were faced with the challenge of entering the Saudi Arabian poultry market. Andrei Terekhin, Head of Exports at Cherkizovo Group, invited the contestants to address a number of tasks, including assessing the Saudi market potential for Cherkizovo exports, identifying the main entry hurdles and naming the most promising export product. The competition was judged by company representatives, leading experts from various industries and MGIMO School of Business professors.
“The case challenge was a unique experience and an interesting and useful event to attend. We tasked the contestants with solving a very practical and real-life case and were pleasantly surprised by their ability to tackle complex business matters. I am confident that the future belongs to these new education formats. We are very grateful to MGIMO for inviting us and will be happy to contribute to similar projects going forward,” said Andrei Terekhin.
The MGIMO MBA Digital Case Challenge saw five fast-growing and innovative Russian companies from different industries take part: Cherkizovo Group, Sberbank (PayZakat startup), NordGold, Schneider Group and SWiP. The case presentations by the teams were held from June 29 to July 1, followed by an online final to review the results and name the winners. MGIMO plans to regularly hold similar competitions in the future.
