Cherkizovo products win six Quality Guarantee medals

Moscow, Russia – November 22, 2019 – Cherkizovo Group’s products have won one silver and five gold medals at Quality Guarantee 2019, an international competition timed to coincide with the World Quality Day and hosted by the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly. The jury selected the best offerings in 24 food categories, including the Best Poultry Product and the Best Meat Product.

This year, Cherkizovo Group submitted ten of its products in a bid to win the Quality Guarantee contest. All of them were highly appreciated by the professional jury and received a variety of awards and accolades. Three gold medals went to the Pava-Pava products, including turkey breast schnitzel in seasoned breadcrumbs, white meat cutlets, and Herbes de Provence leg quarters. Petelinka’s For Roasting whole chickens and Cherkizovo-branded chopped cutlets with tomatoes also came out as gold winners. 

The silver medal went to Cherkizovo-branded chopped cutlets with cheese. Quality excellence certificates were awarded to the Chicken Kiev cutlets under the Petelinka and Pava-Pava brands, Pava-Pava’s seasoned half-birds, and classic Petelinka burgers made of top-quality chicken and turkey fillet.

The competition’s organizational committee registered applications from 105 food companies representing 45 Russian regions, as well as Kazakhstan and Belarus, with the total number of food product submissions reaching 564. 

The Quality Guarantee competition is staged by Gorbatov’s All-Russian Meat Research Institute, one of Russia’s leading food research organizations, and sponsored by the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly and the Ministry of Agriculture. Its primary objective is to raise general awareness about food industry achievements, identify the best manufacturers and products, provide an unbiased assessment of product quality and safety, and contribute to better consumption culture. The competition’s supervisory board consists of professionals from the leading industry-specific research centers and experts from a variety of national associations.
