Cherkizovo Lab secures accreditation from Federal Service for Accreditation

March 15, 2019

Moscow, Russia – 15 March 2019 – Cherkizovo Lab has secured accreditation as a testing laboratory by Russia’s national accreditation authority. The accreditation from the Federal Service for Accreditation (RusAccreditation), which takes effect from March 2019, provides for the recognition of the Lab's tests by the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) and the Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor), as well as by courts and other government agencies.

At the end of February, an expert group conducted an on-site inspection of the Lab to assess its quality management system, technical capabilities, personnel qualifications, and availability of appropriate documents. As part of the inspection, the expert group offered four assignments for the Lab personnel to test their skills in research and measurement work.

The results of all four tests confirmed the technical competence of the Lab’s personnel and compliance with the record-keeping requirements of the quality management system. The on-site inspection verified Cherkizovo Lab’s conformity to the required accreditation criteria and documents. Based on the on-site inspection results, on March 1, 2019 RusAccreditation issued resolution No. Aa-96, granting Cherkizovo Lab accreditation as a testing laboratory to work within the national accreditation system. The resolution also established the Lab’s accreditation area, with its accreditation data entered into RusAccreditation’s register of accredited persons.

As a result, Cherkizovo Lab has secured all the necessary credentials for a testing laboratory in Russia, holding the international accreditation from the Analytics Accreditation Authority Association and the national accreditation from RusAccreditation. The Lab’s successful accreditation by the national authority is set to boost its credibility in the laboratory market and enhance the overall image of Cherkizovo Group.
